Thank you for considering a nomination to the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame. The mission of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association is to honour and celebrate Canadians for outstanding contributions to the agriculture and food industry,
and to publicize the importance of their achievements to Canadians.


This nomination form will help guide you through the process. Please read carefully and complete with the utmost consideration for accuracy.
Nominations must be submitted by May 1 to be considered in the current year.


Candidates are selected for induction based on their career and volunteer contributions to Canadian agriculture. The review committee will look for demonstrated leadership, achievements, results, benefits, and innovations accrued to agriculture on a Canadian or broader basis.

Here are some frequently asked questions about the nomination process:

Who is eligible for nomination to the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame?

Candidates who have made significant contributions to Canadian agriculture on a national or international basis are eligible for nomination. They must have demonstrated leadership, achievements, results, benefits, and innovations in the agricultural industry, with a lasting legacy and impact on the broader industry in Canada and/or internationally.

Can posthumous nominations be made?

Yes, posthumous nominations are accepted for individuals who have made exceptional contributions to Canadian agriculture.

Who can make a nomination?

Nominations must be made by Individual or Corporate members of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association. An Individual lifetime membership can be purchased for $200, while Corporate memberships are $850 annually.

What is the nomination deadline?

Nominations must be received by May 1 to be considered in the current year.

How many letters of support should be included?

Nominators are encouraged to include a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 letters of support to strengthen the nomination.

Are there any costs associated with the nomination?

If the candidate is selected for induction, the nominators are required to cover the cost of a painted and framed portrait, which amounts to $6,000. Nominators will need to supply photos of the nominee for the artist.

How are nominations reviewed and selected?

The Board of Directors of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association reviews the nominations and selects the nominees for induction.

What happens if the nomination does not follow the guidelines?

Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will be returned to the nominator and will not be considered for induction.

Will all nominators be informed of the outcome?

Yes, all nominators will be contacted and notified whether their candidate was successful or not. Candidates can be re-nominated each year for a maximum of three years.
